Sailing west off the mainland A familiar direction As the sunset bled into the horizon There remained a wall of protection
A blanket of darkness covered the island Peeking through the nightfall A convergence of paths Unveiled a change of tone
The star-studded sky faded to dawn The sunrise played like a movie A reverie of two seemingly star-crossed lovers Sprawled out on the lawn
Destiny arrives As one doesΒ When you least expect it As love does βe.l.jayne

My favorite lines by you:
“The star-studded sky faded to dawn
The sunrise played like a movie”
Beautifully well expressed and I can see the movie right before my very own eyes. And the sunset is a destiny of love waiting for us to feel most wholeness and embraced. I love your poem very much. π I’m very proud of you. Please keep writing and posting more poetry.
