{barriers}

{barriers}

he sat in his house for the final time,

the house where his children were born,

where they would play until the fireflies came out,

with their youthful smiles,

and unbridled appetite for the world and all it had to offer.

he thought to himself,

what breaks down barriers?

tragedy,

tragedy breaks down barriers.

    Words of deep truth. As necessary in a time like now as they ever have been. May peace find a home in your soul. ❤

  2. Hi, E.L. – This is just an FYI in case this is unintended but the last two lines from your post with the photo is not showing in the written version of the poem below. – “Tragedy, tragedy breaks down barriers.”. Just thought you might want to know if you don’t.

    Love this post!! You captured that feeling so beautifully!
