Independence is rough. It is difficult to flow against a million years of social evolution. We want to be deeply enmeshed within our tribe, or family, or community. There are times when it means being alone and few can handle that.
I think, at least since the internet, humanity has started to consense into a few hive mnds. Individualism has gotten a bad rap.
Yeah I can definitely see that and I agree with you. Individualism has definitely gotten a bad rap, it’s almost as if you’re expected to claim to be a part of some group, something to brag about. While being a lone wolf should be just as revered.
