Yes that’s right! I managed to find a job in my first four days here in Granada. It would’ve been earlier but we’ve had every minute planned for us during orientation so Friday was the first chance I had to do something on my own. Travel companies are my niche, so I went to the University of Granada’s marketing team and pitched myself to be their videographer. Luck was on my side that day and they happened to be looking for a photographer/videographer for their day trips to cities in Spain. Business here is very warm in contrast to the US and especially London; you greet each other with two kisses on the cheek and my coworkers were very warm and welcoming. In my opinion from working in three different countries with multiple companies in each, Spain is the warmest, followed by the US, and then the UK. I’ve also been asking my coworkers if they have any connections to people who need help with marketing content creation and I have a few promising leads there. Also a clothing company here is interested in partnering with me and two tour companies! I try to reach out to at least 5 companies each week and I finally heard good news back from three!
In other good news, the Director of Marketing for the University of Granada said he really liked the video I made for them and asked if I was looking for a job once I graduate. I told him I’ve interned for five companies already and gave a brief rundown of my experience, and told him I’d be willing to stay here if I had a job since I graduate in May. Big moves!! Who knew I’d have an unofficial job offer in the first week?

Yay!! Keep up the good work!
